"GENIUS, BILLIONAIRE, PLAYBOY, PHILANTHROPIST"
Iron Man first appeared in Tales of Suspense #39 (March 1963 Issue). He was created by Stan Lee, developed by Larry Lieber, and designed Don Heck and Jack Kirby.
Short Biography:
Tony Stark, (the son of billionaire and main head of Stark Industries, Howard Stark, and Maria Stark) is injured by a dangerous trap and captured by Wong-Chu.
Wong-Chu orders Stark to build weaponery , but "shrapnel" is quickly moving towards tony's heart. His fellow prisoner, "Ho Yinsen", a Nobel Prizewinning physicist, builds a chest plate to keep the shrapnel away from Stark's heart, in order to keep him alive.
In secret, they both use the workshop to build a armored iron suit. During the escape attempt, Yinsen dies in order to save Stark. Stark takes revenge on his kidnappers and returns to city.
Later, he upgrades his suits to next level and becomes the "INVINCIBLE IRON MAN"

Iron man is potrayed by Robert Downey Jr., (which i think born to play Tony Stark/ Iron Man :-D )
Gwyneth Paltrow who potrays Pepper Potts in the movie series.
